Intense Fear by Alex DeCaro

It was a couple of weeks after christmas when their was no snow on the ground but still very cold winter nights. My friends and I all wanted to go out and go unplug Christmas lights on residents in the neighborhood houses. It was me, my friend Jesse and Dylan. All three of us looking together finding out what trouble we could cause and have alot of laughs at the end if it all went well. I had a funny feeling that day as we were creeping around on residents lawns turning all of their blow up dolls. I kept on thinking that their was an police officer following us. We were running away from a house that we just encountered as fast as we could. We came up to a house filled with lights everywhere. Over to the right of the house was the main source where all of the lights met. Jesse and Dylan crept onto the lawn of the house where they heard a noise and hid right behind the bush right in front of the house. While i ran inside the woods which was to the right of his house. Their was a man a women and two kids that lived there, we saw them through the window when we were hiding. The man had some boxes he needed to take to the truck and then he drove away. We thought the coast was clear so we hopped out and began to move for the light switch. Jesse got right next to it and accidentally flickered it causing the mother of the two kids to notice. As soon as this happened right when we were about to run away the man came home. We ran as fast as we could Jesse and Dylan both jumped into a bush somewhere while I ran all the way down the block. Jesse and Dylan both ran back and hid next to the family's house listening in on anything that they should be worried about. The father of the family came home and he called the cops. After he was done with the phone call he got back in his car and went on a search for us. The boys called me and told me to get home quick without getting caught because the man was out to find us. He never actually found us because after he left Jesse and Dylan both went through the woods and went home and i went home as soon as possible. We never found out if the cops ever came out looking for us. Hopefully they never showed up. Thats usually what Suffolk County Cops do these days.
